Wish I had your luck Jerry. I have an 8000surge/6600 continuous that I tried running my lincoln 235 stick with 1/8 inch rod with poor results. Just didn't seem to have the oomph that plugging it in had even though the generator is putting out 30 amps at 230volts. Maybe with small rod I'd have had better luck or a shorter cord. (My cord on the generator is pretty long, like 15 feet, which I made to be able to put the gen set outside and close the garage door. Maybe I'll shorten it up one of these days cause I really don't need it that long.......)
