Yeah, I have the stabilizers on the outside. I think they are actually different size pins. I will try and lengthen them and see how that works. I just wanted to make sure that would not buckle them. My nephew buckled his on a John Deere a few weeks ago. I think he was blading in reverse.

OK, Thanks for the replies! I lengthened them and it holds it off the tires, by just a little. I guess these stabilizers work just the opposite of the turnbuckle type. Between the backhoe bracket and the tires there is not much room for error.

They work exactly the same as outer turnbuckles. Its just that telescoping stabilizers are rigid to their adjusted length and wont compress. Unfortunately some designs do not tolerate compressive forces well and must be adjusted to avoid the possibility. ... Adjusting the arms slightly wide will avoid compressive force.

Set the tires out one or two settings.

I did not know the tires on the 5035 could be widened? I thought you had to use spacers or flip them.

I can't see a tractor that big not being able to set the tires width. Show a picture of your wheels and then can tell you real quick. If you can you sure will like it wider.

Because of the big 19.5Lx24 meats on the back of the 5035, the center dish part is already pointed out. So the only tread adjustment you have is to swap the RR with the LR, which will give you a couple more inches clearance on each side. The spools that are welded on the rims are offset, the things the center dish bolts to. That's as wide as she goes without wheel spacers..... :) [ all this is on your DVD and in your printed owners ' manual... ]

That's what I remembered. I thought I might have missed something. Love the monster tires on the back! I have been shredding and the engine has more torque than I thought it would have. I had been hogging with a 70hp and thought this tractor would bog, but it just kept going no matter how thick!
Stuck a few stobs in the tires, kind of worried me, but has not leaked any air. This ground is pretty rough! I have got about 20 acres to try and get back under control after working out of state for a few years. After I lengthened the stabilizers they seem to be holding it in place. Thanks for all the advice. This is the only the 2nd utility tractor I have had any dealings with. Most my life we had larger farm tractors. They had a lot more options for adjusting arms, stabilizers, and wheels. This one you get what you get, not many options for adjusting.
