I just picked up a 6' box blade from a man down the road from me. Gave 25.00 for it. Now, I would just like to know who the MFG is... I plan to have it hot dip galvanized, as that is what I am doing with all of my implements to combat our wet climate down here.
Here are the pictures Any thoughts on who the Mfg might be?

I can't help ID it, but my dad has one identical to it on his Massey 202. I need to build or buy a couple replacement scarifiers though.

You pretty much stole it at that price. It is worth a lot more than that at the scrap yard... A guy I know has been scrapping complete 70's 4x4s, taking two at a time in and getting $1k for his trouble. all the good stuff is getting gobbled up.

I have been thinking about buying some of this guys stuff and hauling it to scrap.
Here are a few items he has priced me.

8' tandem disc - $100.00
16' disc - 200.00
7' bushhog with deck in poor condition, $50.00

I guess I need to see what the scrap is selling for in Houston, and see if I can come out on the discs selling for scrap.

Hey, I'll take that 8' tandem disk! How much you think it would take to ship it to Kentucky!;)

It looks sort of like an early Gannon roll over box blade. Don't know for sure though. Here's some pics of my Gannon.

When I bought it, I figured it was a good one, sure is built heavy. I use a 6' Gannon, and a 78" Land Pride and they are both well built units. I had never seen a blade like this one before.

Thank y'all for the info on the mfg.

I will post some pictures of it, once I have it cleaned up and Hot Dip Galvanized. It ought to look like a new unit.:D

Glowplug.... I am thinking the freight would likely be cost prohibitive on the disc. When my wife has hauled to the Kentucky Horse Park it is 1054 miles from our driveway. Are you anywhere near there? If so, freight would only run ~$2898.50:D :D

It seems a shame to scrap some of this equipment, however I have no use for it, and in my community not many people have a tractor or the land area to run a 16' disc, and most don't even want an 8' Around here most people just have a few acres and a horse or two.

wow, dirt cheap. The scrap cost has got to be way over that.

I am about 5 or 6 miles north of the Horse Park in the middle of thoroughbred country! So. . . .3 grand to ship a $100 disc. Doesn't sound like a good deal to me.
