OH yeah that one of those three bladed roll things that jump up and down when you go forward!!! Seen a many of them.

Have to ask the people that had the sale what it is. I bet they know and could tell you all about it. Probably a long story behind something like that.

Not sure what the point of this question is. I'm trying to identify a piece here not asking my friend why he bought it as that is irrelevant.

Amen - my wife has bought a lot of things that I'm sure she had not a clue what it was to be used for originally, but there was never a question as to "why" she bought it. She wanted it. They are now "decorations" around my house.

Looks like a rollover drag . Looks like 3 teeth on the round bar below the lever that match notches in the blade . Maybe the flats welded on each end make it roll better when tripped . Must not have sold very well .
