Can you be denied access to the "Friendly Politics Forum"?

After sending sending a couple PM's over the past few weeks to the appropriate person, I have not heard a thing nor am I seeing the politics forum. No response back saying Yay or Nay for access. Anyone know if it takes a while or not everybody gets in?

I'd have to say not everyone is let in. I sent 3 requests over the last 4 months and never recieved access or an acknowledgement of my requests. That, or you have to request access differntly than it says in the instructions. Either way I said forget (actually used a different word that would be censored here) it as it's not that important to have access to, for me at least.

JMO...As politically opinionated as I tend to be I have no interest in a private (hidden) forum because I think it reflects poorly on the intelligence of individuals not being capable of choosing what they want or don't want to read or be a part of...nobody forces anyone to click on something they don't want to...IMO all censorship sucks canal water...!
So...IMO the only rationale to keep it restricted/hidden is to possibly prevent the content from being indexed by search engines etc. and giving noobs the wrong impression of the site's general mission...

In some threads we are sharp and in others we are friendly. Sometimes threads break down into joking. There is a thread there on food I am enjoying...long term storage food and I hope that one lasts a while. Some are interested in it, and some are not.

Some of the posts I read are quite brilliant. Some are inspiring. So there is good and bad.

But truly, just like here, we are all free to ignore a thread or a post there. We don't have to participate in a discussion we don't find interesting or rewarding.

To the original poster, I know you want to go over to the "friendly" politics forum, and darn if I will stand in your way, but let me tell you, It is not a real "friendly" place. If fact it is pretty darn ..umm shall we say "unfriendly?. I have said my share of "things" and gotten my share of crap back. It would be prudent to go over there armed.. Perhaps a good knife, an AR, and a couple of pistols would be enough, but having someone to back you up with something crew served, would be good too! So go over there if you like, and I know you are curious and perhaps you want to join in the fray.. Good luck, and if you go around muttering to yourself "them dirty rotten sons of ...." but don't say I didn't warn you! :shocked:

I asked about a particular thread on which I had been posting, guns or home defense and it disappeared. I inquired and a few days later one of the moderators notified me I had access to "Friendly Politics". James kOua and MossFlowerWooods make some valid points. I read more than post and treat it a lot like most other things, if I don't like what is going on or reading etc., I just leave; life is too short.
