. . . sure looks like our Southern Ontario "Opossum" to me. I never saw one up here that did not drag his tail and leave a track like that. Ours are rumoured to come up from Virginia hangin on the bottom of 18 wheelers. Maybe they learned to drag their tail on the way up?

Could the unknown critter have a fresh kill for breakfast in its mouth and dragging part of the kill? Pure quess.

Was wondering about the same thing myself but saw no blood drops or other sign that would indicate that.

I have never seen a 'possom drag it's tail. It may dip for a second but not drag.
