eBay/Craigslist Can you say scam

/ Can you say scam #31
I can remeber at least 3 customers who have fallen for this. It happens more than you think. When they start telling their story, you know exactly where its headed about 1/4 the way in.

Only marginly better are the people who buy the $3000 JIMMA backhoes. Its a real product and all, but till you get it mounted, plumed, and replace all the hydraulic lines that could have been made from garden hoses you could have bought yourself two real backhoes.

There is just no room to take short cuts in the world today with the spread of word so fast through the internet with a forum just like this one. That is why John Deere and Kubota do so well for themselves, the build it right and make happy customers.

I troll Craigslist on a daily basis and love the scams and overpriced scrap for sale. There are, however, deals to be made if you are very careful and happen to be the first to get to the seller physically. Bought my BX2230 with 104hrs for a fair price with loader, plow, weight box and a 60" mower that had never been mounted, essentially brand new. Half the price of new and about as new as you can get used. Followed that purchase with a BX2750D snow blower again less than half price. The owner had a gravel driveway used it once broke some sheer pins and put it in the corner of the garage for four years. Cash talks BS walks.

Saw the same Kubota BX scam here in North East Pa, got the same reply when I inquired about hours etc.

I keep trying to find attachments for my BX. so far its a slow go.

I had one for a BC1000XL Brush Chipper show up on the Rochester, NY craigslist. The "Seller" said that it was actually at a shipping center in Boonsboro, MD. I did a quick gogole maps search, found that Hagerstown was nearby and there was a shipping place called Accela in Boonsboro. As such, I replied with:
Its in Boonsboro? What a coincidence, I have a friend who lives just
south of Hagerstown. He is a trucker that does a lot of work for
Accela in Boonsboro and he owes me a big favor. Any chance that I
could have him stop in and take a look at it on the pallet?
I really need a serial number before paying so that I can verify the
history on this machine through my local dealer.
Looking at the condition now wont tell me anything about its history.
Haven't heard anything since I sent that (2 days ago).
I sent the email to Google (he had a gmail account) flagged as a scammer, so hopefully they shut him down.
