That's what I think too. Had one crawl over my feet while fishin in Florida when I was a kid. Grandma says "Bobbie don't move" and went right on over our toes.

Looks a lot like a cotton mouth (water moccasin) color wise, but you really need to see the head to be sure. Looks like a triangle shape to me, which would suggest venomous, though it's hard to tell with the angle. Either way looks fat and happy and something to stay away from !

Agree with Cotton Mouth.I've not seen one in person. That is a nice looking snake if there is such a thing. Brave guy getting that close.
