I'm on SBC (DSL) - they give me free space as well. I just added some more shots - and the funny thing is they seem to display at one size - small!

I use JASC software - Paint Shop Pro, and I will try compressing them further, but ultimately I think I want a site that lets the pictures display as is. It might even be worth paying for /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I'd call it up and walking /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Yahoo seems to resize the pictures way down - when I upload them they are fairly big pictures - I'm trying to show more detail than you can see in that small screen size. Oh well - today's not the day for me to fool around with it ... work you know /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif but I'm going to find another site to post on.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm glad it's at least working.

I suggest checking out Pbase.com. They have an excellent interface for uploading and displaying your photos. It used to be free, but now they charge $23 for 100 MB per year with prices increasing if you need more space.

I have used them since 2001.

Hi Ron - I got the settings right - now if I could get them to display larger. I noticed your's display at the same size as mine do.

I'm not sure if Webshots charges, but they allow you post pictures as they are. If your pic is big, it stays big.

For the most part I think they are free, but there may be a point at which they will charge... /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Thanks - I'll look at them again. I departmentally banned their software because it was interfering with our enterprise. I want to see if I can use their site without having to load an applet.

Thanks again,

I think Webshots requires you to download some software. Also to be free, you get popups and other ads.

I think Pbase.com will let you try it out a month for free. You upload your pictures from your PC online -- no software to install, and they generate 3 other sizes for your guests to view: small, medium, large and of course you can display your original if you choose.

I love to visit the site to view other peoples pictures -- quite entertaining. I go to the Random Photos and keep refreshing until a picture that seems interesting pops up and then visit that persons site.

I can't see any drainage pipe or the trees you removed. Maybe the tractor in the picture is blocking me from seeing them. I think the grass you want to plant is also blocked from view by the bare dirt. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
