My new 40da has the annoying parking brake beep my 35d did not have. Is there a way to get rid of it?

My TN65 has that annoying beeping when it's parked. It doesn't matter if the brake is on, the shuttle-shift is forward/neutral/reverse or anything. It just starts beeping on it's own...typically around 2 a.m.

I can't seem to find the horn, let alone the switch to get rid of the sound.

Any suggestions on the TN65?? Even the dealer didn't have an answer.

I have a bigger problem with the seat switch on my TC45DA, when it's cold, like 10F or colder, the seat foam gets so stiff that I (at 220#) do not depress the seat enough to close the occupancy switch. The engine shuts down even though I'm sitting squarely in the seat.

I called my dealer about the "cold seat won't close occupancy switch" problem. He initially said they had the same problem and my seat was full of ice. I told him the tractor seat has never been wet. He called NH, and found that they have a fix that moves the switch to the seat hinge area so that it is not affected by cold. I will write more when I see the fix.

Sounds like separation anxiety. You just have to ignore it. The tractor will soon learn that it's place is in the garage.:)

My Golden Retriever get separation anxiety; my tractor doesn't!!

The only solution is to park the tractor with the brake OFF and the shuttle-shift lever in the neutral position.

If I ever find that horn...I'm sure to remove it. Reminds me of the old Three Stooges episode where they were trying to find the squeak in the general's car.

"Hey Moe...what does a squeak look like??"
'Why don't you buy a wig with some brains under it??"

Chuck, try using a cardboard tube from toilet paper or paper towels. Put it up to your ear and point it towards different spots. I am assuming it is a high pitch noise and without knowledge or some directional clue, you will have a hard time finding it. Most of these beepers are not very big (not much bigger than a quarter and the ones I have seen are usually black maybe a 1/2" high

One other thing ... I am not familiar with your machine, but I would look near the fuse panel

The sound does appear to come from around the the fuse panel...well-hidden I'm sure, so guys like me won't find it.

Even a funnel with your ear against the small end would help in locating it. Maybe I'll get my Golden Retriever to listen and sniff around it; put her to use, if you know what I mean. She can detect everything else on the planet...why not an irritating beeping horn.

When I do find it...I'm going to connect it to the big fat lady's butt who lives down the road; that way I know when she's backing up and getting too close to the house.

ahh the fricken 0200 beep beep beep of a TN65. I went through that. It has been so long I forgot about it. The only way I stopped it was disconnect the stinking noise maker. As I recall it is under the cowl near the fuses.

Dealer and factory were no help. tried all the tricks, brake engaged and all sticks in neutral. Just one more useless design from your friends at fiat

If I remember right on my TT50 I found that sucker at the fuse block. It is a black very thin square attached to the relays. All I did was put black electrical tape over the holes and you don't hear it. I tried to remove it, but it caused another problem, just don't remember what that was. The tape works great!

Good luck,
