At my son's house in Houston. Went to MD Anderson this a.m. for CT scan, blood work, and Dr visit. The tumor has continued to shrink. After reviewing the CT scan and blood work and sticking a scope down my nose to look directly, they have canceled surgery. THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO REMOVE! No remnant - nothing! ....The tumor has totally dissipated and all I have left to deal with is the excess fluid - called lymphedema - and I still have healing in my throat to finish.....BUT ...the cancer is gone! At least for now and hopefully forever. I go back every 3 months now for checkup and on a schedule after that for however many years.....but...WOO HOO...I'm free and clear. I sure hope others here can have this kinda luck too.....Jim -- ya listening? Keep following my lead and get better now.

So happy for you Mike. I've lost 2 young moms in the last month and a half to different types of cancer, both had 2 young daughters. Neither smoked and lived good lives. So I've been praying extra hard for everyone I know with cancer and for a cure for this dreadful disease.

We had lunch with Mike at Don and Karen's (TxDon) yesterday. When we left we, wife and me, talked about how good Mike looked.

This is wonderful, I guess we need to think about doing that gate sooner than later.

Side note: Mike's doing his best to prove the good die young wrong.

Mike, I'm sure pleased to hear of your great success. I know they will keep monitoring you ever so often to make sure the remission is complete and permanent. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate your pulling for me too. We just have too many fun things to do to have something like this get in our way.
