Can't disconnect PTO shaft

Glad you got it going. PTO shaft's have vexed us all at times.. I practiced with mine a few times and have it working pretty good now.

You can say that again! I wish I could understand why sometimes the PTO shaft fights me for all it's worth, and others it just seems to practically slide on by itself. I think I'm doing it the same way every time, but experience tells me otherwise. I think we all have a similar love/hate relationship going on with our PTO shafts.

I have that type of shaft for my Bush Hog. It isn't the easiest thing to wrestle on/off, but I've found you need to keep the pto shaft greased up and keep the snap ring lubricated with wd40 so it slides easy. Also if possible, attach it before you put on your top link- it gives you more room to get to it.
