I cannot fill the left rear tire on my TN 70A. Air comes out of the valve stem when I press the inner pin on the valve stem, and I can measure the tire pressure with my gauge, so the thing is not plugged. But my air pump cannot pressurize the tire. The air pump works on the other 3 tires and valve stems.

What can I do?

Its a fluid type valve, isnt it, with an outer portion that holds the actual valve? This whole part will screw out from inside the nipple on the rim [tubeless] or that stays in the tube if tubed. Sounds as if something has gone wrong with that replaceable valve portion. You could replace that unit, or try just replacing the valve core in it [the pin part screws out]. The latter should work. If not, the former almost has to.
Good luck.

Bob, are your tires filled?

My tip broke off in my stem causing the same problem. If your tires are filled, make sure the valve stem is up. Block the rear axle up to take the weight off of the tire and pull the stem out and put a new one in. Problem solved.

Your NH dealer will have the stem right there or you can get them at most farm stores.

Robert, you mean to remove the valve stem core don't you? That would be my first choice and followed by putting a new air valve on my air hose. Something is just not depressing the valve core checkvalve properly. I'd sure say the valve core is suspect.

My front tires are filled, my rear tires (where the faulty valve is) are not filled.
Does that make a difference?

So, sounds like everyone is suggesting I remove the valve stem core or the entire valve stem. Since I have never done anything like this, any guidance on how it is done?

Yes Jim, I meant to write the core but for some reason my mind wasn't clicking:rolleyes:

Bob, if you don't have fluid in the tire where you are having a problem then you don't need to worry about where the stem is to repair it.

Okay, I am worried about removing the stem incorrectly, then having to call some tire expert out to my home, have the entire tire removed in order to replace the valve stem. The idea of replacing the innner core may sound easy to some, but I have visions of the tire going flat, the bead of the tire coming off the rim and me looking stupid!

Bob, put a jackstand or something else substantial - wood blocks, from the FLAT ground all the way up to the axle case on the side you are working on. As the tire deflates that side of the tractor will rest on this and the tire will not fully flatten and [perhaps] de bead. The valve core screws out CCW using a core tool. Some metal valve caps have them built in-a little forked spanner at the end. You may want to have a new core on hand to replace it with. There are 2 kinds. You will want the type without the exposed spring.

If you have NO experience of working on tires, e.g. have NEVER taken a schrader valve apart on a car or motorcycle tire, even a bicycle tire, you will have a HUGE surprise when the air rushes out. It isn't an explosive rush, because it is at a low pressure, but there is SO MUCH of it.
I suggest you find a mechanically competent friend/neighbor/relative/whoever to do this for the first time while you watch.
