Uhhh

I just bought a "new" tractor.
Massey Harris.... no, not Ferguson.

I suppose to each his own.
But, you could have a look at some of the projects on this website

I have a 2004 4110 as well. I get a hankering for new paint from time to time, but (knock on wood) my machine has been bullet-proof. The best part? I own it. :)

Well, so far it was new hardwood floors and a change out of the porcelain floor tile. How was I supposed to know it was the wrong color ten years ago ? I can feel granite countertops looming in my future. We only have four Corvettes ... maybe just one more as we sold the RTV and there is an open space.

Please post some pics of your Corvettes. Love those cars. Any mid year 63-67 ones ?

One has to be a graduate of MIT to post pictures on this contraption. All the mid years are coupes... 2 63s and 1 66 427 . Wife has a full option 75 convertible 43k for miles. And of course your choice of colors.. blue, red, black, and white.

By driving one can surely understand it was engineered fifty years ago. I like the fact it is not a cookie cutter design and very few around this area. As far as driving I would take our new Malibu any day or the truck.
There are also a couple GTOs in the shed, 69 & 71. Don't own any Chrysler / Ford products...... and not looking for any either by personal choice.

I'm with you, I get the need for a new tractor feeling every time I log on to this site, but when it all comes down to it, when I get on my tractor, it does what I need. I don't give my tractor enough credit! As much as I want a new one, I try to be fortunate for the one that I own (not the one the bank would own).

Now, Agent Blue, it sounds like you have quite a bit of disposable income (either that or you hate saving) so just go on out there and buy that new tractor! Yours is gonna break down any day now with all those hours on it :)

The hydraulics just failed on my 2004 4010. Actually, just the engine shaft to the hydraulics.

So, I just bought a new 1025. Everything seems better so far except for maybe the side grip on the R4 tires vs. the R3s I had on the 4010. Not sure your old MM would work on the 1025. They have a new drive-over-to-engage MM that'd be possibly easier to live with if you change it out much. Of course, any 3ph stuff will work.

I'm not in that group who call riding mowers tractors, but I have a mower longevity story. About fifteen years ago my coworker had a very old riding mower given to him. It was a pull cord model, no electric start. He sold it to me for $50 and I took it to my camp on the Chipola River. It smoked to high heaven the first time I cranked it. I mixed a quart of oil with some of the STP oil treatment, about 10 to 1. So each time I used it, I was adding a little of the good stuff. I cut around my camp with that $50 mower for over ten years. The Chipola flooded a while back, and I haven't tried it since. But reading this thread might give me the umph to take the trailer down there and bring it to the house. Since I moved back to the farm, I don't camp as much as I used to. Now I live less than a mile away from the river. But it would be a shame not to see if I can get my money's worth out of the machine. I think I will try to see how much damage the flood did.

The 4110 and 4010 and 1023/1025 are not just mowing tractors. If so, they're awful expensive ones. These machines will do pretty much what the big tractors will do within their capabilities.
