Well, it has been a long day under the PT. I am chasing down reason why my PTO will not work. I have done all of Terrys suggestions (removal of PTO Actuator) and still no joy.

I am wondering / thingking that maybe my PTO hose has thrown a clot. I noticed wire coming out of the casing at one point so it is time to replace if nothing else.

This all said, I cannot get either the quick connect at the head of the hose, or the hose at the aluminum PTO block to come free.

Frankly, I broke one of my chinese wrenches on trying to free the quick connect, and cannot get the hose to come off the aluminum block. It is a pill to reach the aluminum block so I cannot get an extender on the wrench.

Any tricks to this?

Carl,

I believe that the QD's are pipe thread and you are turning left, is that correct? I see most of the hosemen put the hose side in a vise, and use a big wrench. You could have a blockage in one of the QD's Some pictures might explain things a little better. A close up of the QD on the hose, and a closeup of the QD on the PTO manifold.

Did you ever get any pictures of your tram and PTO pump?

You have a steel pipe in an aluminum block, be careful.
