Cant seem to get my Tractor Delivered

/ Cant seem to get my Tractor Delivered #11
I to have to agree with many of the others. Go pick it up !
Did you have some previous arrangement with your friend in that he would deliver it ? Does he have the means to deliver it ? Was this a freebie from him for being able to use the tractor or were you going to pay him to deliver it ?
There are plenty of towing company's out there. Go find one with a suitable ramp truck and pay them to haul the tractor. The also has to be many excavation company's in your area. Go talk to a few of them and see if one of them would be interested in a little afterwork or sunday haul for some extra cash. In today's economy I would expect they woud jump at an easy job for cash.
Plain and Simple. Just Go Get it !!

In the thread about buying the TC48, you said this:

Thank you all for the feedback. I rejected the idea of a Grey Market after learning I needed more Horse Power and you had indicated a lack of service available on the Gray Market Tractors. I decided to pursue NH after seeing such great loyalty and positive posts from the users on this board. My new best friend <name deleted> is a farmer in Covington TN and also told me not to look any further than New Holland. Wade is going to test the tractor for me as I would not know what a worn clutch felt or sounded like? He is a great friend!

Perhaps your friend has his own priorities at this time of year that prevent his being able to deliver the tractor for you. It seems he has really been a great friend to test and keep the tractor for you. I agree with others. When you see that you can't get your friend to deliver as you'd like, it is now your responsibility to go get the tractor on your own. When you do, I'd recommend shaking his hand and thanking him for taking so much time to help me out. You might also take him a gift certificate to a nice restaurant so he can take his wife out to dinner.

All great advice. I have contracted with my friend for a % of the value of the purchase which includes instruction and delivery. He has been very helpful and it was his advice to have the tractor deliverd to him for testing and inspection. The tractor was to be delivered to me when my building was complete but since the building has been complete he has been putting off the date and I assumed he was busy so I called him and told him I was commng to get it and he said he would bring the Tractor this week! He is farmer and things are going to get real busy for him very soon so I wanted to get this done before he got to involved with his Farm. Our contract has him getting paid on delivery so I felt like that would be enough of and incentive to get it done but he has many other obligations and it's just a case of I want it and he was not ready to deliver. It's worked out and looking forward to getting to work this week!
