Am I the only one who has problems getting past these? it used to be fun,,, I like puzzles and that's what they were. Yet lately I find them impossible to decipher; either the characters are so slurred that I can't figure out what number/letter I'm looking at, or the picture is so blurry and obscure that it's just a guess what I'm looking at.

You ARE unusual. I've ALWAYS had trouble with those number/letter combos. Or the ones - " identify all the ??? in these pictures"

Relish in the fact that you, at least once, liked them.

The worst ones are the Google ones to identify all parts that contain X. Your basically giving them free data to train all their machine learning algorithms on.

I closed out an account last night because first my password wouldn't work, then the "captcha" didn't either, and it took 2phone calls to get a real person to help me. Instead of putting money in, they are sending me a check.
