Unfortunately, some innocent people may pay the price because the police can't respond to their emergencies in a timely manner and the community will bear the expense of replacing all the equipment. Glad no one was hurt.
We had a vehicle blown up when I was a LEO, glad it was just the vehicle and not the officer or worse yet him and his family.

Around here he'd get sued by the insurer or rm and he'd be on the hook for those cruisers. Little every month for the rest of his life.

This is what wars on plants do - they pee people off.
There's a big difference between coming down on somebody because they are actually out there killing, stealing, robbing or looting - in other words - actually causing harm to other human beings....... vs. - cultivating or even selling plant products that MOST people just use because they like it.
People do tend to get really angry when you persecute them for things that they see no harm in doing.
It's in fact the whole reason why this country got started.

For the most part a sad story... I agree. Sucks for the town cause they are going to have to pony up. But these cops seem to be, well, not the best (I guess I am used to LAPD who, in my eye, are probably the best trained police force in the US). These guys had there cars crushed in the front lot, with a tractor going full bore, and never knew it was happening until some bystander called 911. Not great police work.
