Car hauler or Equipment Trailer for my Tractor?

then you are stuck moving all that mass with a half ton's truck engine.

My 5.9l dodge gasser is no wimp.. but when i have my 16' traielr loaded to max out my weight.. the truck notices it and takes a bit to get up to speed... my 6.0psd in my f250 takes that same load much better.. ( can't wait to feel it on the 450/7.7psd )

I have not looked at that brand but the 20' range GN trailers I have been around weigh in at around 4,500#. My 25' was just over 5,800#.

There is a lot of extra structure and gusseting needed for a GN trailer. That equals weight. We converted a GN trailer to BP about 10 years back and I know we took off a good 1,500# of stuff and only welded on 400# or so to get it back to a BP hitch.

I have to agree with Harold. Apples to apples I can't see a GN wieghting 1750# more. My to 25' 14k GN's weight well under 5K and are both well built.

I think there is just as much advantage to a GN on a half ton as there is on any truck.
