I have two of those 'jiggle syphons' and they work good.

If you have the fill location in the hood it doesn't get any easier then one of these. Just set it on the hood and push the button. You don't even have to hold it in the air.

If she came with the can I would consider it.:D

1/2 inch drill bit, snap in rubber valve stem with core removed (keep the cap) poor venting solved.

When DiamonPilot(?) showed this solution a year or so back, I wondered if the fuel deteriorates the rubber of the valve stem over time??

I would expect that rubber valve stems are a type of rubber that is resistant to hydrocarbons.

Get yourself some EZ Pour spouts sold many places online and even at TSC. Just replace the idiotic spill prone EPA/CARB spouts with something that works. They come with vents that you can install in the can too.

I'm not exactly sure how long I've used this trick, maybe two years. I have not had any deterioration problems, other than the squirrels that eat everything.

Love how in solving the evaporative gas issue, they created a larger spill issue. With the new std fill necks I end up spilling more than the evaporation would have ever put in the atmosphere from a traditional can. I have never seen anyone operate the new style fillers without spilling some.

Absolutely agree. The EZ spout (white/yellow)from TSC has a much larger bore, no valve, and a cap. When when I added the 1/2 vent (use a step drill slowly and the cut will spiral in one piece) and pop it open, I hear an audible whoosh and it dumps fuel like fueling at the stations - really flows fast.

I keep 3- 5 gal cans full of diesel for my BX and can empty one a a couple of minutes.
