By the way, David, mine looked every bit as bad as that one, but it is pretty good metal, and it is springy steel. I was able to straighten it with the help of my vise and carefull hand bending.

I bent mine last winter, but not as badly as David's. It was easily straightened. This thread is a good reminder for me to check it. If I ever find it loosened again I'll add blue loctite as suggested.

I don't own a Kioti but I'll make it a third on the bucket level indicator. My Massey has one but it is a little different I went to adjust it one day so the tube and rod would meet when level and darn if the tube was too short. The rod would pop out of the bottom when dumping the bucket. I got lucky and caught it so it doesn't look like that one. I bought another tube and a can of spray paint and fixed it.

Thank you all for Playing!

I thought I had snagged it, but clearly it had come loose is now what I suspect, and as I was moving the grapple it caught on itself and pretzled...

$135 to replace it! Wish I had a vise...

Here is the before pic...

Be well,
David

That is kind of a strange set up. Is that tube suppose to be one piece?

No, it is 2 pieces. the lower tube threads onto the upper tube, the Korean that does that has arms like Olive Oil, unlike the Korean that puts on the Hydraulic filter, now that guy has arms like Popeye! C'mon David, you can fix that rod, Nail down a couple of 2x4's on a table or something to make a "crack" slightly larger than the diameter of the rod, then put the rod in it and use gentle bending force to straighten the rod over a series of bends, It takes practice but YOU can do it!

Mine must be cheaper haha. The rod is looped and just slides over the rod end of the cylinder. The tube is fastened to the cylinder with a rubber grommet and large hose clamp. To adjust it you just slide the the up or down the cylinder and retighten the clamp. There is no bolts or nuts of any kind on it

Are you getting any rain this morning?

James,

I will try it, and keep it as my backup I believe (for the next time it happens?).

I like the 2x4 idea!
