Caroni & Agri-Supply.

It seems that Agri-Supply is the sole Caroni importer, distributor, dealer in the US. Is this true ?

If so, it's a recent thing. Sweet, Macon, RCO and others seem to still be selling Caroni, and I saw a Caroni finish mower at Rural King not too long ago.

Have only ordered a couple things through Agri-Supply (slip clutch & KK tiller), and they were great to deal with. Tiller came all greased & topped off with gear oil, packed well for the journey..browns40

A word of caution here. The Caroni flail mower I received had stickers all over it stating it had no oil in the gear box. Apparently Agri-Supply preps the attachments before shipping.

I added oil.

That was wrong.

Boy what a mess.

I'm glad I only tried it out before putting it to work but it still was quite a clean up.
Be sure to check the gear box BEFORE adding oil, don't assume there is or is not oil in it.
I am very happy with both the mower and dealing with Agri-Supply. They are very helpful and still committed to customer service. Too many companies think customer service is an automated telephone answering machine that asks you to press 1 for Spanish then puts you on hold and plays music you don't like for too a long time.

I totally agree with the praise the others have for Agri-Supply, I only wish they had a store up in the Pacific Northwest. I've bought a slip clutch and mower blade from them. They do have a monoply on good service, good prices and knowledgeble staff at least compared to the Western Wear/tractor Supply places near me. It looks as though CCM is also a good vendor it's just that I've not had an occasion to deal with them yet. bjr

I have had Caroni finish mower for about 7 years now and it mows well. whenever I have needed blades or belts and one time spindle. ( hit piece of firewood in some taller grass) agri supply were very helpful and parts were here next day and at good price. they didnt even need model # of mower just size which tells me caroni doesnt change alot of things. Which is a good sign.
