I'm looking for carraige bar stock for my FEL pallet fork project. Budgetforklift.com has 1.25x4.375x47 long for around $150 each (top and bottom). They are fully milled including notches. Shipping would be about $60.

Does anyone know of a supplier other than these guys? I can mill the stop notches myself if needed, but othewise, I want to buy the stock already milled.

Thanks

You can probably find an entire junk carriage assembly for cheaper than that ($210) locally at a forklift repair shop. Back when I built my forks, I found one for $50 here in the Twin Cities, MN. It was too heavy for my small tractor so I didn't buy it and ended up just building the carriage out of some 1/2" bar stock.

Finding a used carraige was my first approach. I found a 37 inch wide used one for my 3pt pallet forks, but I need a wider one for the FEL mount (45 to 60 inches).

However, it's harder to find a wide class II carraige which is what I need, so I'm looking for bar stock.
