I am 99.9% sure that I have a design flaw. With the chainsaws standing straight up like I have them the gas leaks out the vent. I am going to check tomorrow to be sure. I have seen so many people on TBN with scabbards straight up and down and have never heard of a complaint of gas leaking out the vent.

I take it that you have separate forks that fit the front or the rear, not just one set of forks? I've got a dedicated pallet fork that fit my BX2660, the pin on kind. I've been wondering how to make them fit the B2620 now. Looks like it would cost too much to have them rebuilt to fit the rear of the B so as to make something like you did Roger. I'm not a welder builder like you. Making a useful tool like yours without much expense is envious.

Yes, I have front and rear forks. I have found it to be very handy have forks on the front and rear. I have a lot of stuff like mulch, bricks, firewood etc on pallets so it is easy to move if it is in the way or if I need it. A welding shop should be able to make your BX forks fit the B series. My neighbor got the metal that I made the rear forks out of off a job. If I would have had to paid for the metal I would have been better off to buy a set. Those forks like Newburry posted are tough to beat for the price. I have heard of some people using a carry all to move pallets too. Thanks for the kinds words.

i have 3 scabbards that are straight up and down and never a leak. I leave my chainsaw in the scabbard for a week or more at a time with no leaks. Not sure why you are having a problem.

I sometimes hang my saws from the ceiling, straight down - no leaks.

Here are pictures of the vent location on the 024 super and 034 super. That thing that says 1121 is the vent. They are going to leak in this position.

I had the 034 super, MS441CM, and MS660 on the carry all and they all leaked gas. The 441 was bone dry.

I thought I would update this thread. Three weeks ago I got the gas leaks fixed on the 034s and 024S. The saws have a flapper valve that goes in the vent from inside the tank to keep gas leaking out the vent. I think the other saws leaked gas because the saws and gas can were out in the cold building and I brought them into the warm garage, the gas warmed up/ expanded, and pushed out the vent. I have tested my other saws since I originally posted about them leaking and they don't leak.

Here is the part I put in the tank.

When the saws leaked gas I felt like I had wasted time by building it like this. Now that I know the saws are not leaking gas I have a few more things I want to add to it.

I was looking for a solid floor carry all attachment and was surprised how few solid floor versions were available and even fewer that were affordable so we designed one with square tube instead of the popular lower capacity angle iron models. We may add some steel rings on the outside of the floor deck to serve as tie-down points or to be used to store a shovel or ax. I would love to hear what features you guys would use on a carry all attachment.

If I got one I would/might:

--use it with weights as a counter-weight for the loader
--add brackets for stake side panels to haul firewood, etc.
OR
--add a wood box with sides, built to fit inside the carryall floor and to carry wood as noted above
--use it on the front pallet forks as a lift/work platform to trim shrubs, hang lights, etc. (might suggest an option to have feet high enough to slide forks under it)

Looks great, and the possibilities are endless. I want one!

I want to make my ssqa forks adaptable to use with the 3pt. so I can use my front loader and the forks off the 3pt. in the rear if I want. Or remove the front loader bucket and use the forks there.

I was looking at this as well, but gave up. The cost to buy or even make a 3pt to SSQA adapter was more than my SSQA forks were new.

I ended up stumbling across a 3pt forklift & got it for $250. Its in need of a bit of work, but seems solid. Seller claimed it would lift high enough to put stuff on a semi trailer with the tractor on the ground & then some, which looks about right.
