I already made a previous post about the Silver Wing trailer. The neighbor finally told me he has decided to part with it just the other day. I asked him if he would take $1,250 for it and he said yes. He has a couple things on it that he wants to get off but we have not committed yet.
Anyway a guy about an hour away from me has a 5x8 Carry-On trailer from Tractor Supply. Can someone tell me whether or not they are good trailers? His is a 2021 and he is asking $800 and they are only $1,000 at Tractor Supply right now. He also has a jack on his which I do not think they come with. I might end up owning two trailers lol. A friend of mine told me to get the Silver Wing even at $1,500 he said I could turn around and make at least a small profit off an all aluminum trailer. I saw some forums and people were saying they excellent trailers for the price point and others say to avoid the newer ones or something?
Having that said, I plan to buy a wheel strap down kit and install it to the trailer. They seem to secure zero turn mowers much better. You have to drill into the wood though and if it did it with the Silver Wing it would be a more permanent thing in the aluminum. I am not completely opposed to it. Just it may make it more difficult to sell it off after doing something like that to it. The downfall to the Silver Wing is that I am probably going to have to have to buy a set of ramps separately to load my zero turn. I do not think that small aluminum gate is going to hold up over time.
