I am currently rebuilding a Edko Walking Tractor. It is a 2 wheel tractor. I would like some cart Pics or Ideas. I want to build one or modify one to work with it. I hae a four wheel tow behind cart that I could mod but I am looking for ideas if you have them.

I have a thread started in lawn and garden on it if you would like to look at pics. I put it there before this forum was up. If the mods would move it I would appreciate it.

Here is the link

Thanks,

Here is a link to the Gravely two wheel tractor pull behind cart.

They key is the linkage between the tractor and the cart.
Gravely uses a hitch ball on the tractor with a split coupler that fits into a pipe on the trailer tongue, and then a pin locks the split coupler in place in the pipe. Some folks have fabricated other linkages or you can find these parts on ebait. Been a while since I've looked, but I would guess they would run $30-40ish.

Sometimes you see Gravely riding seats sell pretty cheaply in your local sales papers or on line ads, and one of those could be adapted to a cart. I think one of mine just has a regular hitch ball on it so you can pull a cart behind it.

Here is the engine mounted and the disk on it. I bought the engine (5.5hp 6:1 gear reduction Briggs) from Tractor supply online. It was 280 shipped to my door. It was about 200 cheaper then anywhere else I found. It does a good job. I will be blasting it and painting it next weekend. also am going to order new tires. It has a guard that will go back on it for the belts.

Thanks for the PDF above. I am probly going to do something similar.

Finally got around to putting it together today after church. It was originally red but I had some black on hand after I sand blasted it.

Looks nice. Even the tires look to be in good shape. Reminds me of one of the Batman movies when the Batman character asks Morgan Freeman, "does it [the Batmobile] come in black?"

I kept the Edko and I am glad I did. I built a sulky for it. It holds me fine and I will be putting a ball on it to pull my utility trailer. The turning radius now is about 20'. I have an idea about putting a hinge on it just after the Flat bar start being full width. With it like this I will be able to turn a whole lot better. Any thoughts on this idea? Here is a Picture. I took this right after building it. It needs some grinding and sandblasting and paint.
