I'm about to go look at a Case Agri King 1370 that's been sitting in a pasture for 3 years. They say it ran out of fuel and they just parked it. I can buy it for $800. Do you guys think it's worth looking at? What should I look out for? Thanks for the help.

That's what I'm thinking. I'm going to look at it tomorrow, but I was wondering if anybody had any special knowledge about what to look at on these machines. If it looks ok, I plan to go back out there with a can of diesel, some ether, and a battery and see if she'll crank up.

We had a 970 when I was a kid, loved that powershift.
It was a VERY smooth running diesel.

Yessir. That sucker is pretty heavy. I'm going to have to borrow a bigger trailer to haul it home if I buy it.

She must have had some other issues to just park it.
But if shes intact and looks half assed decent for that price, yep.
Get it running and then a hydraulic pump, brakes and clutch and a good tractor.

That’s right. I can’t imagine why someone would run a tractor out of fuel and just leave it set forever.
It must have had a more expensive repair(s) needed.

All that said, for $800, I’d jump on it. Worst ”Case” scenario is you take it to the tractor salvage yard to sell as parts.
