Case 446

Here's a few pics of my 1968 Case 195 with the mighty 12 hp Kohler. I have to agree that these things are stupid simple and bulletproof. The thing I like most is the big rear tires. I grew up on a Wheel Horse C-160 and JD 316. With my scrawny little rear on those tractors, I was always starved for traction, even with R-1's. The large rears on the Case/Ingersoll tractors seem to help a lot.

Very nice 195.I just bought a case 448 locally.I owned a 1996 ingersoll 4020(20 hp onan) and sold it a few years back.I still kick myself in the butt for doing that.coobie

Very nice 195.I just bought a case 448 locally.I owned a 1996 ingersoll 4020(20 hp onan) and sold it a few years back.I still kick myself in the butt for doing that.coobie

For Case parts there is a small engine repair shop in Adrian MI ( Gallant & Sons ) 517-263-1998. I Just rebuilt a Case 446 B43M. They help to point me in the right direction for ( Online only ) manuals and ordered all the parts for me. And Yes Onan parts are expensive. Now having the Cummings name behind them helps to keep parts available.

Dang, those pictures remind me of the Case 442 we had for mowing/gardeing when I was a kid. Great little tractor until dad and I decided to try and overcome one of its limitations (kept breaking the bolt for the mower clutch on the engine) with some hydraulic conversions. Sadly, our fab skills were lacking and the project never reached completion. Still have it.. dug it out of a collapsing building. Will scrap it one of these days.

I'm in central PA and I will scrap it simply for convenience. Now if somebody wants it, a few bucks and it's yours. No idea what is actually usable if anything.
