There really isn't anyone who is going to sell you their Case 2000 model backhoe in decent condition for $12,500. This is a scam, run away.

Not sure if this is something similar to what I experienced, but I was looking at a CUT John Deere in Idaho that I found for sale. Contacted the owner, who said the tractor was actually in North Dakota, but he would ship the tractor to me and if it was not as described, he would take the tractor back. The money was to be held in an "escrow" account. I checked into the supposed "escrow" company (well known name), and they said this was something they didn't do and it was a definite scam. The company said once I put my money (if I had) in the account, the scam artist would take all the money from the account and I would have no recourse to get it back, unless he was caught. I provided them all my correspondence with the "scam" artist to help them catch them. Usually, if it is too good to be true, beware.

Really? Do you remember what company or name or something they said why the deal was so good?

This guy said he had a gambling problem and now he's about to loose everything and he's selling stuff to make some money.

I would check with Google to see if this is a service they offer. Mine was supposed to be through ebay, and it all sounded good until I contacted ebay and they said they do not do this service and it is a scam.

I can't remember the JD model, but it was a 30 hp John Deere with 67 hrs and had 9 attachments that went with it. Box Scraper, PHD, Loader, Rototiller, etc. all John Deere attachments. I estimated a good price would be about $20,000 grand, but this person wanted $9,500. The photo's were from a farm and it looked legit, until I wanted to see the tractor in person, then the tractor moved from Idaho to North Dakota, then when I said I was heading to MN for vacation and would stop by and check it out in North Dakoata, the tractor was suddenly 2 hrs north of Regina, SK, Canada. The guy I was dealing with just said to put the money in the Ebay escrow account and he would ship it at his expense to my door and it the tractor was not as described, I didn't have to purchase the tractor and the return shipping was on him. I was suspicious and contacted ebay, and they said it was a scam. Do a search on the internet "escrow scams" and you can see alot of people have a fallen for this.
