I've got a Case 585 International that won't go into gear easily, power steering won't work, bucket won't raise quick, but the 3pt hitch works fine. Plenty of fluid in the reservoir.
Just got off the phone with the Case dealer, and they diagnosed the problem even before I finished describing the symptoms--they say it's common in the 585 and 685 Case International tractors. They're calling for a problem with the Multiple Control Valve (MCV)--saying that the Spool and Spring are getting gummed up. Going to go out and be real gentle with a screwdriver and attempt to dislodge it.
Any of you folks have any issues with this MCV problem?? Any advice on dislodging it would be much appreciated it.
Thanks,
-Ryan
