Took the injectors out of my Case IH 695 (D239 German diesel) and ended up replacing two of them. One had the tip of the nozzle broken off and the other had a split nozzle nut, but the tractor was running. Took 3 weeks but the new injectors arrived, I installed the new injectors, I bled the system and the tractor will not start.

Thoughts? I bled by loosening high pressure lines and cranking until a good spray came out. Did I miss something here?

Thank you in advance.

I would pull one of the new injectors and see if the pump is sending enough pressure to pop the injector.

Hi Ed,

Do I need to have the fuel return line hooked up for this test? Thank you for the quick response.

ideally yes, I believe you will get results without it though.

I did get the tractor started. I let it sit overnight and bled the injector lines once more. It fired up after this.
