Thanks crush for that info, do you know if a 1455xl engine would fit in a 1255xl tractor, just know of another 1255xl its the older type one, think its 1983, engine not good with bits missing

Should fit o/k I would think!!, only problem might be the air cleaner assy, 1255 might have a smaller one ??,you need to check parts books to be sure!!

Bonnet & side panels should be same , check engine block is same length??, if it is longer? On 1455 then the prop shaft may need changing??

ok is there any difference (apart from the colours and front section) between the old 1255xl and the newer 1255xl
