For almost two years my 1989(?) CaseIH 255 has worked very well around the property, used primarily for snow blowing and pushing in winter and bush hogging around 25 acres of trees in summer. When I bought it the hydraulic pressure was too low, so I adjusted it up in keeping with the instructions on the dashboard plaque. I put it to 1700 lbs, I think. A neighbour gave me a gauge.

At 3000 lb including cab and loader, the tractor is a iight-weight rig, but the loader has had lots of power until now. After I walked it ten miles to a friend's for an afternoon of fill-placing and the walk home, I put it away until this morning. It lifted the chains I needed to move easily, dumped them neatly, but shuddered whenever I lowered the bucket. This is new and I would like some input into why it does this and how I can repair it.

I should add that it has an auto-level function on the loader.
