Doug, I have used them in Texas and Colorado. It seemed the further North, or higher the altitude (less humidity maybe) the better they work. In Texas with the heat, it didn't work well for me. In Colorado, worked much more efficient, at least for my comfort. It seemed they where much more common in Colorado also, since quite a few folks use them and vs A/C.

Gotcha. I have a Bird House for my Macaw Parrots and Cockatiels thats a small converted pre-fab shed. I just use a fan for them now during the heat of the summer and thought it might work for them better. Guess I'll stick with the fan.

I saw them in 29 Palms... Worked great in the dessert!

Thanks Radar, your reply was just fine, and unless the drought here continues, I hope the desert part won't be applicable. :eek: So far our Tropical storm event has been more like gentle sun showers than real lake-filling rain..:(
