Just found this thread.
A lot of tractor guys (and gals) love their cats, some working cats and some pets. I appreciate the posts expressing the love and pride you all have for your cats.
I found these 2 male and 1 female kittens in my shed, on a piece of insulation, last March.

A few weeks later we got TK. He is from the same litter, but had been adopted by another momma cat.

At the same we got TK, we also adopted Nova from a different litter. Born on the side of my shed in the scrap metal pile. She is about 3 months younger than the others and the sole survivor of her litter. It’s now June (2023) at this point.

I lost my buddy, Mittens. I was glad I was able to give him a home for 16 yrs! Will miss him dearly! The little guy would walk across my keyboard at work and want to play. He was part of a feral colony where I worked. RIP Mittens. View attachment 859163
16 is pretty good for a cat. He has some dignified whiskers there. (y)

Always wanted a coon but I always take what needs rescuing/a home

Thus far, all mutts (and all wonderful)
There are exotics out there in rescues. Of the 7 cats we've had and have, 2 persians, 2 balinese, and 2 ragdolls were rescues. And one orange tabby.

Speaking of which, mocha and elsa were rolling trying to lure me in for pets.

And elsa in a bucket waiting for the dryer to be done. Something about that bucket material the cats just love.

Well we decided to get another kitten. We visited the Humane Society, and picked this girl. A little skid-ish at first but, she is getting more playful every day.

Awww. So cute! Glad to know another pet has found a great home!!

Our little girl is a bit skittish.

She prefers to run just out of reach, only allowing “pets” when she is drowsy.

She had a very tough past. We just accept and love her the same

Years ago we adopted a beautiful spayed standard siamese who was abused & didn't trust us. Our veterinarian at the time moved here from NYC and had a friend who was a cat psychologist. I had no idea there was such a thing but the vet said after spaying her just leave her one more day because his friend was visiting.
The next day the siamese was completely different, vocal and compassionate and lived to be 18.
