Your best bet might be to hire it done. It sounds like alot of fun renting the dozer and doing it yourself. But after a hour or so the fun wears off and it is all work and can be very frustrating work if you are not experinced. Clearing trees can be dangerous if not skilled. A man was killed in my area about a year ago removing a tree. Things can happen pretty quick sometimes. I have a very small dozer and once in a while a person will just not take no for a answer and want a road built, which is not practical for my small dozer and is time consuming. I dont even try and take out very big trees. I'll bring my small backhoe in and pop them all out or dig them out, use the dozer to pile them up (that in itself can be dangerous) rough cut the road. I wont waste the time trying to get it smooth. Then I bring in my skid steer and I can do more in one hour with it than four with the dozer. Smooth it out . A dozer is very expensive to maintain and slow. I do alot of small jobs and many of them could be done with my skid steer and blade faster than with a dozer, but people have it in their head that they are not getting their moneys worth unless you bring in the dozer. So alot of my jobs I will give them a price. Bring in my little dozer and do a little work with it and then use my skid steer to do all that I can because it is so much more efficent than a dozer.
