Cats killing billions of animals??

I doubt that my cat caused a decline in the Bobcat population(which would be a natural predator to the chipmunk), and I doubt that my cat has anything to do with a decline in the blacksnake population either.But if you want to blame my cat for that, it's your perogative( I guess).

foxes, coyotes, hawks and snakes (sometimes owls) are the primary predators of ground squirrels...but coyotes like cats too...(supposes to taste just like chicken!!)

Our coyote population is on the rise(thanks to the game commision), and as soon as they take out the rest of the fauna, they will be preying on humans again. That's why they were eradicated in the first place, and it's starting again. Illinois is a good example.

As a new guy, I got no problem with pine, he traded some pm's with me in regards to another thread, good stuff.

If we ever get a cat again, he won't be over for T-day, though. :laughing:

You can't be serious...?...granted there have been some coyote attacks on small children (due mostly to careless parents) but humans (**** sapiens) have never been "preyed" on by coyotes...

FWIW.. hawks are the biggest predators on ground squirrels around here...(as long I have ammo for the cats)

If people knew how destructive cats are to wildlife, mainly birds, they would think differently. But on farms, they can serve a purpose.

Each year during bird season I bet we shoot a dozen wild cats. Once your dogs smell them you had better shoot the cat before the dog gets there. Otherwise there is usually a vet bill.

I don't hate all cats. I just think there are way too many that run wild.

I do not intentionally try to push buttons, rattle cages etc. although it may seem that way...I just like to think/opine outside of the box...too much ovine compliance in the world for my taste...but I was being honest when I said I respect everyone's right to their opinions...even if I disagree with them...
