CB radio operators with tractors. WHATS YOUR HANDLE WHILE OPERATING YOUR TRACTOR!!!!

Not that I'm a big DX'er, the bands are quite dead and have been for some time. However this makes CB radio better for local communication. During 11 meter band openings, you call your neighbor in Michigan and some guy in California comes back to you.

Anyone heard of the Baofengs? Not a bad hand held for VHF/UHF including all the GMRS and MURS frequencies, repeater ready with CTCSS? When I bought two, they were $40.00 with free shipping. How can you go wrong? Of course they aren't legal for those frequencies and none of us guys would ever use them for that sort of thing.

I don't have a CB on my tractor, nobody to talk to but log trucks and the occasional dipwad with a linear. I can think up some great handles, though:

"This is King Kutter, comin' at you from the north forty"
"Captain CUT calling all gear jammers..."
"Post Hole Princess, you got your ears on?"
"This here is the big Box Grader, any little smokies in sight?"
"This here is the Orange Menace, orange you glad I'm here?

Lots of CBs still out here because of the logging roads. Have one in my pick-up and on my 4 wheeler. Come in pretty handy. No handle.....:thumbsup:

sometimes i carry a handheld 2m 70cm + aircraft. rig.. other times I mount my mobile. it 'LOOKS" likie a cb.. kinda. also 2m/ 70CM
