CC 7305 for u nder $10k?????

While deciding with the dealer that the 7274 would be too high in price by the time I set it up the way I want it, he mentioned that they had just taken a 7305 hst, FEL, R4 tires, and 400 hours. This is about 1700 lb without the loader, 30 hp. Loader will lift around 750 lb, 3 point about 1200. He's asking $9950. Just wondering what you guys think about the tractor. Sizewise, it's going to slot in about 50% bigger than my B7100 by weight, about double the HP. The hydraulics are about 50% more than my loader and about double my rear lift. I haven't seen the thing, but it'll probably clear my 81 inch doorway height, too. It's about 20 miles away and I was just there yesterday. I may drive over Monday, depending on how busy things get. Still, the price isn't too far off from some of the quotes I got here for a new Mahindra 2015, and probably not too far from A Plan pricing on a Case/NH DX/TC 23 gear with loader.

Sorry, just thinking out loud, so to speak. What do you guys think about the Cadet?

I say If the tractor checks out to your satisfaction go for it. I had a 7205 (2015 in red mahindra) and the book says it was around 1900 lbs give or take. I think the 7305 will be heavier than you said. Be sure and check the engine mount bolts and the loader mount bolts, they have a propensity to vibrate loose. If the tractor has been abused or roughshod it may also have been neglected and those bolts could be a clue for you.
Resale isn't as good on the cubs but the mitsubishi made cubs are fine tractors and hold up to real use.
I sold my 7205 to my nieghbor and got another cub!
You'll not go wrong If the tractor hasn't been abused.

I think the dealer said this one has a Daihatsu engine. Does that send any particular message to anyone? It's an '03 if that helps.

I thought all the mitsubishi made cubs had the mitsubishi made engines?
There is some stuff here that doesn't sound right. I think everything this dealer is telling you is misinformed.

The Cub 7305 is definately a Mitsubishi made tractor, powered by a 3 cyl. Mitsubishi deisel, and it weighs 2600# without the loader. Somebody is mixed up some where. Good Luck!

Thanks Glenn. I guess I better go look at this thing Monday. It seems everyone here thinks the Mitsu made CC's are good machines. I feel some loyalty to Cadet. I have two mowers, one about 35 years old. The 10 hp engine finally died two years ago. The only replacement choices were a reman 10 hp or a new 12, both by Kohler. I went with the 12. The engine was a problem from the start. I screwed around with it for a year, using the 1250 for mowing chores in the meantime. The dealer did everything they could, but Kohler wouldn't authorize anything except repeated repairs. I went through a warped head, a carb replacement, a bad driveshaft yoke to flywheel attachment, and a few other things. I asked for a replacement engine. Kohler refused. I was threatening to sue via the lemon law since I had the thing in shop for about 4 times as much repair hours as I got use of it during that year. The Cadet rep happened to be at the dealership and just passing the time with the service guy. The service guy mentioned the poor treatment they got from Kohler, including not getting paid for warranty work on the engine, and the Cadet guy told him to replace the engine at their expense! This tractor is something I bought used close to 30 years ago and Cadet still goes to bat for me! Incredible! I just have to wonder why the dealer is not trying to sell more Cadets. It's not like they don't back their products.
