I am looking at the CCM CR-50 tiller to put on my BX23. Anyone else have this same setup and do you like it? I know they also have the 48" version, but would rather have the extra 5" since its only 25 more pounds. I think the total weight is 425 lbs. I know this is slightly over the recommended weight, but many others on here have also done it with no regrets. Anyone have either the 45" or 50" on a BX?
I've been running a 50" Yanmar tiller on my BX22 for 4 years now and have had zero problems. With the hydro, you can adjust your ground speed so you're never overloading the machine. Don't forget to measure the shaft to see if you need to shorten it (probably) so it doesn't bind at any point as you raise/lower the tiller. VERY expensive mistake if you don't make sure about this.
