Toplink CCM Service

I Orderded a Hydraulic Top Link and hose kit from CCM on 4/8/10, was told it was in stock and would ship on 4/9/10, fine with me! Called and got a tracking#, on 4/14/10(as I have not received it yet and I am only 5 1/2hrs away) UPS shows a shipping date of 4/13/10 and a delivery date of 4/15/10What happened from the 9th to the 13th? To me, thats a long wait for two days shipping time on the big brown truck!! My LAST order!!!

Does CCM own UPS? How do you know it's not a problem with UPS? Unless you got upgraded shipping, UPS could have it sitting on a truck somewhere.

They had the top link in stock but most likely had to make the hoses for you. Then a weekend fell in between the 9th and the 13th along with a busier than expected Monday. Not sure about CCM but Monday's are our busiest day of the week and sometimes we can't ship as much as we would like on Monday because we are all busy answering the phones and emails. I'd say take a deep breath and give them a break. BTW, you are going to love your new hydraulic top link. Post a picture of it once you get it installed on your tractor.

The guy I talked to said the hoses were made up in 24in. lengths and ready to go, Maybe I am impatient but here is an example: my race car parts, Chico, Ca. 2457mi. 4 days standard shipping, Tractor Tunes, Redmond Or. 2405mi. 4days standard shipping, CCM Johnson City Tn. 351mi. 7 days+..? I'm sure I will really like the toplink when I get it as you said, but the service is lacking, glad I did'nt order lunch. Bret

Guess they should have told you they'd ship in a few days rather than right away.

The UPS system ship my stuff right thru town 150 miles north and warehouses it over nite and back on a truck down to our town. When I complained they always come back with "Order Earlier". UPS is very proud of their "structure" and say it's the most effiecient shipping available. I just don't use them when I have other options like regular snail mail especially if I can wait a little while. bjr

I found if I order direct it takes longer than if I order through the dealer on some of the OEM parts.

I called 1st thing the next AM and was told that it shipped alreaady with 1/4 lines. Two days everything was in my hands. Same day shipping at 3 to 4 EST without an extra charge. I think that is exceptionally great service !!!!!!

Ordered a top link cylinder and hoses a couple of weeks ago on a Monday morning and they were delivered by UPS the following Friday.

UPS like other cargo business's will gather all the shipments in a location and then ship them to yet another distribution point. The inital "collection" point could be right down the road or in next the county- but the shipment must still go through the system- which could include sending the package to another state or region of the county- before it is brought back down the street for delivery. :laughing::laughing:


I have purchased from CCM- I waited over a month for my shipment. During this time the owner was of out of town, then he was ill and then the area experienced some bad weather.

I'm not dis-satified with the service- Sometimes Murphy shows up on the door step- there is not a lot you can do.

I just "love" Brown - my brotherinlaw is about to retire from them and our son has a good career started with them, but their shipping drives me nuts. Seems you never get better than you paid for at best. We are able to get "ground" shipping from the mainland although it really goes by air. So my tracking info gives me an expected delivery date. Can't tell you how many times I've seen my item processed as Arrived in Honolulu 3-5 days earlier, but it never leaves Honolulu until the night before the promised date.
I guess it does teach me patience.
