Who said that you need dirt to grow flowers? A little water and fertilizer every once in a while and you have a cement flower garden... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey Junk; Those are really neat! Where you get the mold for them? With that paint job on them, they look just like real!!! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hey I have flowers growing in my crack too (pavement, that is). /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Why does it always seem that, in gardening, the more effort you put into trying to grow something, the higher the probability you have of killing it?

Didn't plant any of them but they started sprouting all over the yard and lawn. Some I mowed around a few times, and others were chopped immediately. For some unknown reason this summer some flourished with little rain and other plants just died so quickly that I didn't even have a chance to notice them before it was too late. I am giving thought to a sprinkler system for next year.

Hey Junk-

What size area are you considering for sprinklers? When I lived in San Diego (don't tell my neighbors- Californians have a bad name here in the northwest, for good reason) virtually everyone had sprinklers. Just the opposite on this end of the country.

They look a lot like a wild petunia, or is it possible the seeds are dispersed from some petunias you had growing in the past? Do they have any fragrance?
