I don't know how many of you got a follow up to the census but we just did and it is supposedly for quality control and you are supposed to fill out the form again and either mail it back or do it on line at the government site. I tried to log into the government site on line and got the message to try again later..the server was busy. Now would you not think the US government would have servers large enough to handle the volume especially when the letter said " Your household is one of a small sample of households in the US who are being asked to help us with this follow-up to the 2010 Census ? ":confused2:
Hey i work for the government, other than computer security, i think they do that almost as well as some privite compaines or better, there is much left to be desired about our computing systems.
My 2 yr old desktop bought on sale (compac) and was only like 1 tier above entry level is many times fater on DSL than my work PC. Our email at work is so slow youd think it was dialup. We have 1 yr old $1000+ computers that run like a bogged up and run like a 8 year old relic.
