Tractor
branson 4720h 6ft brush hog ,post hole digger, ripper, pallet forks,
Towards the right side almost directly under the loader Control joystick on the bottom of the tractor is a hydraulic filter just forward of the hydraulic filter is a line going to the front of the engine with a small rubber hose that connects two metal lines with two hose clamps one of the hose clamps broke which caused a slow leak.

I started looking over the tractor because it had a shutter whenever using a hydraulic components.

I didn稚 find it until I got back to the shop which means I drove through a bunch of muddy fields and water holes.

Think the shutter was sucking air ?
If sucking air most likely sucked in a little water ?

Guessing time to drain and refill ? Am I missing. Anything else ?

I'm no mechanic but if your system DID suck water you need to figure out why. Traversing puddles is normal for a tractor. I really don't think water in the hydraulics is the source of your problem. I think air would be a more likely cause. Is your system a bit low on fluid perhaps? Cycle your loader full up to full down a few times, that should purge air.

If there is water in the oil it may show as milky or cloudy oil in the sight glass.

I would start with draining it, then a new filter and a refill.
Is it a suction or return filter? If it's a return filter, it would be weeping while running.
If it's a suction filter, it could be sucking in air or water.

That sounds like it would be the suction filter.
How does your fluid look?
The shudder was most likely a result of sucking air,
as to if it sucked in any water or dirt thats your call.
If your fluid level is still good and the color looks good I'd say you are good.
If your 4720 is set up like my 8050 when you pull the filter to replace it you will spill about half your fluid.
I have heard of people using shop vacs to reduce the flow out of the filter connection.
I don't know about the 4720 but mine has a suction screen and a magnet in the belly of it,
every bit of fluid is out to get to those.
Also some people have had problems establishing flow after a change with the pumps getting air bound.

The fluid had a bunch of air bubble in when I parked it so Im going to let it sit then Im going to look at the colored the fluid . The filter is laying Horizontal and I知 thinking it痴 the suction return.

I parked it and I知 going to get a band clamp or a T clamp instead of The wire hose clamp because it looks like the wire just got bumped and the Clamp fell apart and that痴 where it痴 leaking from.

I just wish I knew the shuttering was from the air getting sucked in sooner and not from it just being cold because it痴 been cold here the last couple days and I thought the fluid was just being thick. I moved a few bales around a for like a 5 mins each day the last 3 days .

When my dealer opens I知 going to buy New hydraulic fluid and filters figure it would be cheap insurance versus the price of all the hydraulics

This pdf is listed as for a 4720,
it does show a suction screen in the bottom of the case as well as a suction filter,
If I was replaceing the existing clamps and there was room I would use 2 screw clamps with the screws opposite each other,
or a pair of spring clamps.
good luck with her

Check any flexible hoses themselves for pinhole leaks which would allow air entry. Consider replacing them with new "just because". If you can apply air pressure and submerge them in water that would tell you whether you have leaks.
