Kubota B2910HSD
Hi all,
While wanting the B2910 (complete overkill for my property), the B2410HSDB is more reasonable (moderate overkill). Now that I'm all approved, I just have to pick my dealer. Have been speaking with a dealership in Kissimmee, FL..but after calling around one dealership really stood out. It was Mid Florida Tractor in Leesburg. Has anyone dealt with them or any central Florida dealer that really stands out? If negative, you don't have to specify a name, just tell me where it is and that'll pinpoint it quickly.
Finally, tried Carver...and they were very responsive and great people, but they don't have any B2410xxx left. Thanks ahead of time for any feedback!

Regards,
Frank

Frank,

I bought a B7500 from Mid Florida Tractor. I personally like Jim (owner). We have established a relationship and I belive he will go to bat for me should we have a questionable warranty issue. Something Carver can't do for you.

He gave me a fair deal...both on the purchase price and trade-in on an old clunker. Parts guy is very helpful and responsive.

On the negative side. No one was assigned to go over the operation of the tractor with me. They loaded it on my trailer and off I went. On the other hand I did not press the issue and if I had I am sure someone would have spent time with me. This is something that you should not have to ask for though.

Be sure all fluids are topped off before leaving and rear tires are filled.

Another downside that bothers me just a bit. It has been nearly 3 months since my purchase and I have yet to get a "how is it going call".

Just my observations.

I bought my Kubota from Five Star in Kissimmee. I have been to the Leesburg dealer, but the price difference when I was looking was not enough to make me use the dealership that was 1.5 hours away.

I bought a FEL for my tractor and had them install it. I received it and it had a hydraulic leak. They came the next day and picked the tractor up. They were responsive to the repair. Overall, I have been satisfied with their service, and they are quick to fix the problem.

I would not buy implements from Five Star since I think they are too expensive. I usually can get something similar from Tractor Supply. Renting implements from Five Star is about $40 per day. I usually try to figure out how many days I will need the implement, and sometimes it is cheaper to buy the implement!

There is another Kubota dealer on South Orange Blossom Trail, but his prices were the same as Five Star. I ended choosing Five Star for the convenience since I live in St.Cloud.

Good luck on your search.

Joe and Mike,
Thank you for the information. If I was that close to Kissimmee, then I would have probably bought there. That, along with price, made me veer away from the Kissimmee dealer. I did however go to Mid Florida Tractor in Leesburg and got a fantastic price that really blew the other dealers away. Jim, the owner, seems like a straight shooting kind of person and I would greatly recommend them to anyone around here in the Central Florida area. From calling all the dealers in the area, no one can touch his prices.
I really wanted a B2410HSDB, but there were none available in the crate anywhere down here, so drove a B2710 and was surprised how tight it turned. What I really liked was this B2710 was really beat up bad for 350 hours, but it drove and handled great! Was an easy decision to go with the B2910/60mmm/FEL/Boxb/Teltrex canopy, which is a bit much, but what the heck. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Congratulations on your new Kubota!!!

Have you operated it yet?

Anyway, I just finished mowing my back sand lot... I am getting ready to put seed down since it seems rainy season has returned for the first time since 97.

I am going to Home Depot to buy some chain link to make a "chain harrow".

Looks like more tractor work for me!!!

Have fun with your tractor!!

Joe,
Not yet, but she's being put together now. There seems to be a shortage of Kubotas when you want a specific one I guess! In any case I have several projects lined up for the Bota when it get's here, so am being patient atm.
