OK, head and exhaust manifold bolt torque figures sent via e-mail, along with a best effort text only diagram of the tightening sequence - which I regard as at least as important as the actual values.
Hmmm, lets try reproducing it here - for posterity, etc;
========================================================
Hi,
I'm assuming this is the Mitsubishi engine, the manual shows the 3 cylinder version and 4 cylinder together and only rarely discusses them separately.
The design allows for 3 or 4 cylinders with most of the components the same.
OK, assuming he knows what he is doing...
Cylinder head bolts are M10 ... 9 Kgm or 65 ft lbs or 88 Nm., according to what he has available for a torque wrench.
He will have the exhaust manifold off as well; 1.85 Kgm or 13.5 ft lbs or 18 Nm
The inlet manifold is the same as the exhaust.
There is a CHANCE that your guy hasn't worked on 3 cylinder engines before, so I'll try to convey the tightening sequence;
8....4....2....7
6....1....3....5
..10...9...11
Front of engine to left of this page <--
on the 4 cylinder it is;
10....4....2....5....7
.8....6....1....3....9
...14..12...11..13
Yes, the 3rd row is staggered.
It is the best I can do without graphics.
<-- FRONT
again, front of engine is to left of this page.
Let me know if you want/need scans of any pages, if so give me an e-mail address to send them to.
BTW, it is "Torque", but I'm not the spelling or gammar ploice
