My experience has been that the MMM and Loader get in each other's way. Make sure the loader & backhoe are easy to remove.

Hi,
I bought the GC2310 after checking out other brands including Kubota and am glad I did. The backhoe unit detaches (3 min) and attaches (5-7 min) very easy. On one of the lower mount points there was a high spot in the casting. After removing it the backhoe attaches very easy. I have used mine to dig footers, tree stumps and some ditch work. The unit works well for its size. I have dug out 14-16" stumps with very little trouble. Some of the larger roots I have had to nibble off. It sure is a heck of lot better than a shovel. A little practice in an open area will let you learn the controls without endangering anyone or anything. If you decide to purchase one e-mail for a couple of other tips to make things a little easier. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well I finally made a decision and ordered the 2310 (included FEL & BH) with 60"MMM, and post hole digger/auger. Dealer will weld hooks to the FEL, no charge. Also purchased an Agro dump trailer.

Can't wait to start playing, I mean making good use of the tractor. I'll need to wait at least until Dec. depending on the status of house construction.

THANKS for everyone's input!!

Congratulations Carver Bill! Hope it serves you well. It sounds like you've got a good mix of attachments. Will you have it in time for our first snowfall? Have fun!

We bought a 2310 this summer. Really like it. It has the bar type tires and 12" back hoe bucket. Installed a toothbar on the FEL to help dig dirt and some good size rocks. We have a larger farm tractor - so we haven't tried any PTO implements. I am impressed by how much power it has.

$3750 is cheap for a backhoe - even a small one like the unit on the 2310 or the Kubota BX23. I bought a BX23 a year and a half ago and use the backhoe all of the time. So far I have dug out a number of stumps with it, installed drain pipes, dug out a new driveway, spent this summer digging for a foundation hole for a new garage, pulled out a bunch of big rocks, dig couple of holes for installing concrete pads, etc. With four acres I am sure you will find a number of uses for your hoe on the 2310.

What type of Agro dump trailer did you get? Is this one sized to tow behind the tractor or a larger one to pull behind a truck? I am asking because after using the tractor for a while I realized that a small dump trailer that I could tow behind tractor would be very useful in moving the large amount of dirt I have moved. Making many trips with the FEL gets tiresome after a while.
