Ok, maybe I'm wrong here, but i saw this manual 10ft long chain (looks like a real long chainsaw chain) available for sale in a tool mag i get at the house. The way it works is you loop the chain around the branch and pull both sides back and forth until you cut the limb. In the pic of it, the person was standing under the limb. It falls, it hits the person. Anyone have one of these? They do not seem real safe. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

They don't work well at all. Have tried to use one (you can stand off to the side and don't have to stand underneath) but if the 'chain' is cutting wood, it's hard to get it to move when wrapped around the limb. Better if two people are pulling while standing a bit apart from each other.

But when the limb is falling, one can't continue to stand under it /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's likely a copyright'd pic, and most people likely have seen it many times. They've had the same pic for probably 50 years.
