I'm looking for a neat little device that you could slip a chain into to shorten the length. It looked like a climbers figure 8, but the chain would lay in it. I thought it was from awdirect.com but I have not be able to find it.

Basically, I'm trying to adjust the lenght of my chain in the middle rather than the ends.

Anyone have any idea what I'm trying to describe. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

How about two grab hooks with about three links between them?

Cheap & simple. I painted it orange so it will be easier to find when I drop it.

Folded to fit in the tool box. I originally put the two hooks together with a longer pin without the link, but they didn't fold together.

Milkman,

That's a pretty slick idea, using one link between the hooks!

I like it! Neat the way it folds too... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
