Here is an Idea I had to keep a chain with me at all times, All you N.H. 7308 F.E.L. guys out their got to get you one of these! It was easy to make and you never have to worry about your chain catching on something. I've been using mine several months now and It works great. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Very ingenious ! Nice project. Thanks for sharing. I have the 16LA FEL and can't remember if I have an open space like that or not. I will have to check when I get home.

Darn that is real nice. Going to have to do that one. Just what I need, another project! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks though, I think I will fold one out of expanded metal.

That is really sweet.

Quick! Apply for a patent. Somebody will steal your idea, and soon you'll see them for sale on ebay. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

That's one darn nice job. Even the pull-ring is well thought out. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

GATC35: None of the curved arm loaders have an open crossbrace. We can't do what Mansker did. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Nice work. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Now I need to find me some sheet stock, a shear, a metal brake, and a welder. It's not such a cheap job anymore /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

What a slick idea!! I just love this site. Just wondering out loud, but seems like that would be a really great idea to employ a version of that on a box blade. I seem to always have the BB on the back of my TC40 as counterweight and I keep a couple chains kind of draped over it and they are always a pain to take off, or put on, Seems a little "drawer nestled in some thin wall 2x3 rectangle tubing would make it slick and add a touch of weight in the right place (I know 15#'s won't make a bit off difference, but it is an excuse /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Thanks for the great idea! I'm going to make one myself /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.giftoo.

I would go with at least a 4"x 4" tube. You won't get much chain in anything smaller. my tray is 2 3/4"x5" and it is full with a 18' chain.
